Readings for Kids about the Law

Kids need legal resources that they can use in a simplified language — not “lawyerly.”  What follows are some Indiana options written specifically for kids to learn about the court system and the law in general.

The Youth Law T.E.A.M. published P.L.A.Y. in Bounds, which is targeted for teenagers about the juvenile justice system.  There is an accompanying Guide for Parents to the Juvenile Justice Systems.

The Indiana State Bar Association published Legal Stuff (you should know!) targeted at young adults about a broad spectrum of topics from renting an apartment to what to do when in an auto accident.
