Filming in Juvenile Courts and Detention Centers: the Institute for Juvenile Court and Corrections Research

It can be an eye-opener when the real juvenile process and the real court and detention buildings are documented.  The Institute for Juvenile Court and Corrections Research grew out of a collaboration between the Indiana University Research and Technology Corporation and Calamari Productions to archive and disseminate juvenile court and corrections footage for educational and research purposes.

For examples of video shot in the Lake County Juvenile Court, see the MTV series Juvies website.

For examples of video shot at the Indiana Department of Correction, Division of Youth Services, go to the documentary section of Indiana Corrections YouTube page.  They are still shown periodically on MSNBC in the Lockup series.
