On May 29, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. EST, a school-based diversion program for mentally ill youth from Connecticut, developed with the support of the MacArthur Foundations Models for Change Initiative, will be highlighted during a webinar. Topics will include: (1) model components, (2) working with advocates and community stakeholders, (3) funding, (4) successes and challenges, (5) replicating the model, and (6) how the model works with the school-to-prison pipeline issues. The presenters will be Lara Herscovitch, Deputy Director of the Connecticut Juvenile Justice Alliance, Catherine Foley Geib from the Connecticut Judicial Branch Court Support Services Division, and Dr. Jeffrey J. Vanderploeg from the Connecticut Center for Effective Practice.
