Just the Beginning – A Pipeline Organization (JTB-APO) is sponsoring the 2014 Indianapolis Summer Legal Institute for high school students who may want to pursue a legal career. The event will be held at the Indiana University McKinney School of Law on June 16-20, 2014. The cost is free and can include bus passes for children in need. Applications will be accepted until all available slots are filled.
According to the materials, students will:
- “Meet with volunteer attorneys and members of the judiciary
- Visit the courts
- Participate in a mock trial
- Learn and apply high level negotiations skills
- Attend workshops on college readiness and business networking
- Present oral arguments for a competition
- Have fun!!”
