Justice Rush Appointed as First Female Chief Justice

On August 6, 2014, Justice Loretta Rush was named as the first female Chief Justice of the Indiana Supreme Court.  She was a long-time juvenile court judge in Tippecanoe County before being appointed to the Indiana Supreme Court in 2012.  During her tenure, she has written several opinions focused on juvenile law issues that have been particularly pointed in regards due process issues.  For more information about Justice Rush, see this post from the Indiana Law Blog.
